Authorities are carrying out various projects related to the management and renovation of this space for the benefit of the residents of the state.

The new Secretary of Infrastructure for the Nayarit government, Teresa Simancas, announced that the rehabilitation of Jacarandas Avenue, located in Tepic’s “Zona Rosa” (entertainment district), includes the addition of a parking lane and a bike lane, with the goal of improving mobility in the area.

She explained that this project is based on Article 4 of the Mobility Law, which establishes that all people have the right to safe and accessible mobility.

In this regard, she detailed that the parking lane will be located on the section between Insurgentes Avenue and the Libramiento (bypass), while the bike lane will run in the opposite direction, from the Libramiento towards Insurgentes.

During the initial work, she noted that removing the asphalt revealed a collapsed drainage system with significant sinkholes, which will necessitate more extensive repairs.

He also indicated that in some areas the surface has subsidence, so it will be necessary to fill in these areas to achieve the proper slope according to the project.

Simancas also highlighted the existence of a central median where palm trees are planted at the entrance to the city. Their preservation has been a challenge, as the goal is to keep them alive during the rehabilitation process.

115 million pesos will be invested in the Jacarandas maintenance project.
The project was inspected this past weekend by Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, accompanied by the president of the Nayarit DIF System, Beatriz Estrada Martínez. The allocated investment amounts to 115 million pesos, coming from state funds.

Finally, it was reported that the rehabilitation will be carried out in sections, which will be opened to traffic as they are completed. Currently, the project is 7% complete, just over a week after it began.
