In coordinated naval intelligence operations, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) arrested José Guadalupe Ahumada Villegas, alias “M4,” identified as an operator for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and coordinator of criminal activities in Nayarit and Tlaxcala.

According to the Mexican Navy, intelligence and surveillance work led to the identification of several properties allegedly used by members of a criminal group operating in the state.

Based on the information gathered, search warrants were obtained from a judge and executed simultaneously by the participating agencies. The seven search warrants executed at properties located in the municipalities of Tepic and Xalisco, Nayarit, resulted in the arrest of ten people, including José Guadalupe “N,” identified as “M4” and a suspected CJNG operator.

Three rifles, three vehicles, and several cell phones were seized at the properties.

According to the investigation, the detainees are allegedly linked to various crimes, including homicide, kidnapping, extortion, and drug trafficking.

The detainees were read their legal rights and, along with the seized items, were turned over to the appropriate Public Prosecutor, who will continue the investigation and determine their legal status. The properties were sealed and placed under the custody of the authorities.

These actions disrupt the operational, logistical, and coordination capabilities of this criminal organization. The seized assets represent an economic blow valued at over 4 million pesos, thus weakening the financial structure of criminal groups.

The Mexican Navy reaffirms its commitment to continue working in coordination to combat organized crime, apprehend those who generate violence, and guarantee the safety of all Mexicans.
