One hundred and twenty-six couples formalized their unions last Saturday in Nayarit during a collective wedding ceremony organized by the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) and the state government. The event, held in conjunction with Valentine’s Day, provided legal certainty to the families.

The president of the Nayarit DIF System, Beatriz Estrada Martínez, and Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero led the ceremony, which aims to strengthen the couples’ shared lives. During her remarks, the president of the DIF emphasized the importance of love, commitment, and respect as the foundation for building strong and lasting marriages, urging the couples to maintain trust, communication, and understanding.

“I hope that this union and this happiness are based on love, understanding, tolerance, and above all, trust and communication; the love and commitment of each of you will allow you to overcome any challenge and continue walking together,” Estrada Martínez stated.

For his part, the governor congratulated the couples on this step, which, he affirmed, strengthens Nayarit families, and reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating conditions that promote their well-being.

As part of the celebration, six honeymoon trips were raffled off among the newlyweds.
