Semar Dismantles CJNG Recruitment Centers in Nayarit

Mexico City. In actions against organized crime carried out in the states of Nayarit and Guerrero, personnel from the Secretariat of the Navy-Navy of Mexico (SEMAR) secured 18 slot machines in businesses established in Bahía de Banderas, and where members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) allegedly recruit young people; while in Acapulco, four drug dealers were arrested.

As for the operation carried out in the municipality of Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, personnel assigned to the Naval Sector of Boca de Chila, in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), carried out the seizure of slot machines that were located in stores without having the corresponding permits from the Ministry of the Interior.

“It is important to mention that the seizure of these machines reduces recruitment points for organized crime, money laundering crimes, as well as points of sale and consumption of drugs,” Semar said.

On the other hand, in the port of Acapulco, through surveillance and security work carried out in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense, the National Guard, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the State Police and the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guerrero, various arrests and arrests were carried out, including that of four drug dealers; on the Cima-Cruces highway, on the Trébol bridge, the apprehension of an alleged perpetrator of domestic violence was achieved.

Likewise, in Colonia San Agustín, in Acapulco, a male person was arrested as a probable perpetrator in the crime of femicide.
