Therefore, all 21 beaches in Nayarit meet the necessary conditions for the arrival of swimmers this Easter.

“They are monitoring the water quality. I was concerned in recent weeks when a drainage system in Sayulita tested substandard. I felt compelled to continue monitoring. The federal government gave me that opportunity, along with COFEPRIS, and the monitoring came back negative, following the measures we took, and it’s now usable,” he stated.

The Nayarit governor also emphasized that, in coordination with federal authorities, security is being monitored on roads and in community centers 24 hours a day. He added that he has ordered a special operation in the urban area of Tepic, in coordination with the National Guard, the Navy, and the Mexican Army, to prevent the increase in home burglaries as vacationers leave. He emphasized that constant monitoring will be maintained in the municipalities of Tepic, Bahía de Banderas, Santiago Ixcuintla, and Compostela.

According to information from Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, the total number of tourists traveling across the country will reach 14,756,000, i.e., 2.1 percent more than the number recorded in 2024, during the Holy Week and Easter holiday period.
